1 Commerce Valley Dr E, Thornhill, ON L3T 7X6

ONSITE: This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the student to work in the Markham office throughout the entire duration of the co-op work term. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.

About the Department

Do you want to apply innovative machine learning solutions to help build cutting-edge AMD CPU, APU and graphics products? Are you passionate about seeing the impact of your work through software used at multiple AMD sites around the world? If so, AMD Software Infrastructure team is the right place for you.

We develop and support massive systems that improve the productivity of the SW Organization in areas including DevOps, Advanced Web-Based Tools, Test Automation as well as Project, Release, and Change Management solutions.

You will be working with exciting machine learning techniques to build applications for source code analysis and Image Corruption Detection. You will work with an amazing team of engineers gaining valuable experience and exposure to fast paced world-class development team.

Skills Required:

  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and mathematics
  • Hands-on experience programming in Python
  • Experience using relational (SQL) and no-SQL databases.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • (Plus) Practical knowledge of neural networks and data science
  • (Plus) Experience with Tensorflow and Python packages such as NumPy
  • Experince with web development using Javascript and frameworks such Flask, Angular, ASP.Net Core, etc. is a plus
